Insured & Licensed Swimming Pool Electricians
Whether you’re installing a new pool, upgrading your power outlets or adding features like underwater pool lighting, our licensed electricians will ensure everything is installed to Australian safety standards. Naturally, electrical work around water needs extra care which is why we use only weatherproof, IP-rated fittings and install safety switches (RCDs) where required.
We work on all types of residential pools and spas, including inground, above-ground, saltwater and chlorinated systems. From pool and garden lighting installation to outdoor power point installation, we’ve got your pool’s electrical setup covered.
Benefits of Professional Pool Electrical Services
Swimming pool electrics aren’t just about installing cool functionality in your back garden. In fact, they’re essential for safety and long-term performance. Poorly installed wiring near water can pose serious risks, including electric shock and system failure. Using a licensed electrician ensures all components are weatherproof, compliant and protected by safety switches.
Professional installation also helps manage electrical load correctly, reduces the chance of faults and ensures that pumps, heaters and lighting systems run smoothly and reliably.

Frequently Asked…
Questions? No problem! Here are the most commonly asked questions we receive about swimming pool electrical repairs and installations across Melbourne. If you still have questions or would like to speak to us, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
-
Most pool pump connections or outdoor lighting installations take 2–3 hours depending on access and complexity. Naturally, larger jobs like multiple lighting zones or full automation systems may take longer to install and test. However, we will always provide a clear time estimate before we begin.
-
Yes. All electrical work associated with swimming pools and spas must be carried out by a licensed electrician. Pool electrical work is subject to strict safety requirements under Australian Standard AS 3000 and relevant Victorian regulations, due to the serious risks posed by electricity near water. Never attempt DIY electrical work near a pool — the consequences can be fatal.
-
Yes, when installed correctly by a licensed electrician. Pool and outdoor lighting must be specifically rated for wet or submerged use, with appropriate IP (Ingress Protection) ratings. All wiring and connections must comply with strict safety standards to prevent electric shock. All Electrics only installs products that meet Australian safety requirements and are fit for purpose in aquatic environments.
-
Yes. Pool pumps, lighting and heating systems can all be put on timers or integrated into smart automation systems. This allows you to schedule filtration cycles during off-peak hours to reduce running costs, and control lighting remotely via an app. We can advise on the right automation setup for your pool and install all electrical components to make it work seamlessly.
-
If your current switchboard is older or does not support additional circuits, a complete switchboard upgrade may be needed to install pool electrics safely. It depends on your existing switchboard capacity and the electrical load your pool equipment requires. Pool pumps, heaters and lighting can draw significant current, and older switchboards may not have sufficient capacity or the correct safety switches for a new pool circuit. Our electricians will assess your switchboard before quoting and advise whether an upgrade is required as part of the installation.
