FAQs: Pricing, Bookings & Workmanship

Got a question before you get in touch? These are the answers we give most often about pricing, booking and safety. Can’t find yours? Call (03) 8719 8776 or request a free online quote. No pushy sales, just straightforward advice from Leonard and the team.

  • No, not when you send photos before we quote. Enquire online and we email you straight away so you can send photos and a short description. We then give you a fixed price without visiting first, and that is the price you pay. If the scope changes, we talk it through before work continues. If you cannot send photos, our standard hourly rate applies and we explain how your job would be charged before we start. Emergency and after-hours call-outs are different, and we explain any call-out fee before we send anyone. Get a free online quote.
  • Yes. Every quote is free, and we quote most jobs online without visiting. Send job photos and a short description after you enquire, and we reply with a fixed price. For complex jobs we may need to see the site first, and we explain how that works before we visit.
  • Within minutes of you sending your job description and photos, and up to a few hours at most. Without photos, most quotes arrive the same business day once we have the details we need. Complex jobs may need a site visit first, and we tell you straight away.
  • Fixed price for quoted work. Once we give you the price, that is what you pay. We only use hourly rates for fault finding or jobs where the scope is unclear, and we agree that with you first.
  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cash, bank transfer and cryptocurrency. Payment terms vary with the size of the job. Tell us your preferred method before work starts and we will confirm it in advance.
  • Only for larger jobs. A deposit may be required for jobs over $10,000, depending on the scope. We agree deposit terms with you before the job begins. Smaller jobs usually don’t need one unless special materials are involved.
  • We talk to you first. We price any extra work upfront so you can approve it before anything changes, and we never carry out chargeable extras without your approval. If we underquote something that was clearly in scope, we wear the cost. The exception is when key details were missing or the scope changed. See our guarantees.
